Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a part-time Cardiac Sonographer to perform routine and emergent echocardiograms across locations, including portable and in inpatient settings. You will handle 2D/3D, Doppler, transesophageal and stress studies, maintain equipment, and ensure high-quality imaging per protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree preferred; cardiac ultrasound training preferred.
• Valid sonography credential registration (ARRT(S), RDMS, RDCS) and CPR/BLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency echocardiograms including 2D/3D, Doppler, and stress imaging.
• Record quality information and follow protocols.
• Explain procedures to patients/families and provide emergent call coverage as scheduled.
• Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment across locations; assist with EMR/PAC systems.
• Participate in quality improvement and trend department performance toward goals.
