Job summary

Advocate Health Care in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Cardiac Device Rhythm Management specialist to perform complex device interrogations and remote monitoring for adults and pediatrics, integrating physiology knowledge to optimize pacemakers, ICDs, ILRs and CRT devices. The role requires IBHRE certification, 3 years of device management, and an allied education.

You will mentor staff, coordinate with electrophysiologists and heart failure teams, and contribute to patient education

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• 3 years of recent cardiac device management experience required.
• IBHRE certification required and maintained per guidelines.
• Current BLS and ACLS status per AHA.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates advanced direct cardiac rhythm management patient care for adult and pediatric patients with CIEDs.
• Performs advanced CIED interrogations and remote monitoring with in-person evaluations.
• Provides patient teaching regarding incision care, device function, ICD shock plans, and remote monitoring.
• Mentors cardiac device specialists and collaborates with physicians and heart failure teams.
• Ensures accurate billing codes and documentation for all cardiac device encounters.
