Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a skilled cardiovascular/telemetry RN to provide autonomous device management for patients with CIEDs. The role includes interpreting device interrogations, post-operative education, and remote monitoring to ensure optimal device performance and patient safety.

The nurse will collaborate with cardiac electrophysiologists, document findings, and participate in ongoing educational activities related to device management and electrophysiology.

Qualifications

• BSN degree from an accredited program.
• Current RN license in North Carolina (or ability to obtain temporary RN license).
• AHA BLS and ACLS certification per policy.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates autonomous direct cardiac rhythm management care for patients with CIEDs through device interrogations, diagnostic reviews, and analysis of device function.
• Performs post-operative CIED patient assessment and teaching on incision care, device function, and remote monitoring.
• Program device parameters to optimize system function while ensuring patient safety and device longevity.
• Recognizes abnormal pacemaker/ICD/ILR/CRT device functions and takes corrective action as needed.
• Communicates patient status and diagnostic data with electrophysiologists and other providers; documents accurately.
