Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Cardiac Catheterization Tech I to assist physicians in diagnostic and interventional cath procedures and to help maintain an efficient cath lab. The role includes inventory management, staff training, and contributing to policy development.

The ideal candidate has AMA-accredited radiologic tech education, 2 years Cath Lab experience, and appropriate licensure or registry eligibility, with BLS and preferred ACLS credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent.
• Two years experience as Cardiac Catheterization Tech I or equivalent.
• AART registered or registry eligible; Wisconsin Radiology license; Cardiovascular Tech registry eligible.
• BLS certification (required); ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Cardiac Catheterization Tech I duties and assist Cardiologist during diagnostic catheterization and complex interventional procedures.
• Maintain cath lab inventory and equipment readiness.
• Assist with training and orientation of new staff.
• Contribute to development, review and implementation of policies and procedures.
• Participate in Quality Assessment and Improvement activities.
• May work flexible hours and overtime; participate in on-call roster.
• Other duties as assigned by Cath Lab Coordinator or Heart Program Director.
