Job summary

Mercy Health – Youngstown is seeking a Special Procedures and Cath Lab Technologist to assist licensed practitioners in fluoroscopic and specialized interventional procedures while maintaining sterile technique. You will prepare patients, document medications and radiation exposure, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires ARRT/CCI certification, BLS, and ideally ACLS with 1 year radiology experience.

Qualifications

• Certification and Registration with ARRT or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is required.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• State licensure preferred.
• 1 year experience in radiology with surgery experience in use of CR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in fluoroscopic, interventional and neuro-interventional procedures.
• Prepare patients and explain procedures to minimize anxiety.
• Review patient information in the EMR and document critical findings.
• Maintain sterile technique and follow infection control policies.
• Communicate with referring physicians for order clarification when needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and universal precautions.
