Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to verify patient identity and consent, prepare sterile equipment, and assist in interventional procedures. You will monitor patient status, ensure accurate contrast dosing, and maintain fluoroscopy time records with strict safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program or equivalent training/education for required certification/licensure.
• Board certified ARRT or eligible to take boards (must be board certified within six months of hire) OR graduate of a Cardiac Intervention Program and registered or registry eligible (must be registered within six months of hire).
• ACLS required within six months of hire (Rockford Only).
• NIHSS required within six months of hire (Rockford Only).
• Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identification and signed consent before procedures.
• Prepare sterile technique and equipment for procedures; monitor and record procedural data.
• Assist with radiation safety; verify medications and contrast dosages with staff.
• Document fluoroscopy time and radiation doses; ensure safety limits.
• Provide post-procedural care and participate in quality assessment.
