Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Cardiovascular Medical Surgical Telemetry unit at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, IL. This full-time position offers an evening shift with rotating weekends and a 32-hour work week, with an hourly pay range of $18.84–$27.32.

The role involves assisting nurses in patient care, basic nursing duties, and ensuring patient comfort and safety under supervision. A CNA background and BLS certification are preferred or required by policy.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Eligible to work in the US.
• CNA training preferred.
• One nursing clinical rotation preferred.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider (American Heart Association) required.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and visitors; answer call lights and phones; perform hourly rounding.
• Assist with safe patient handling, ambulation, and transfers using Safe Patient Handling equipment.
• Provide basic nursing care: bathing, grooming, oral care, feeding, positioning, and safety.
• Assist with admission, discharge, or transfer procedures; orient patients to room and hospital.
• Document patient care activities (ADL, vital signs, intake/output) and notify RN/LPN of concerns.
• May be asked to rest with a patient (care companion/sitter) as needed.
• Support nursing team with restocking equipment/linens and other unit tasks.
