Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Cardiovascular Medical Surgical Telemetry unit in Glenbrook Hospital. The role supports RN/LPN with patient care tasks to ensure comfort, safety, and quality care for patients of various ages on the assigned unit.

The position is part time with an evening shift and rotating weekends, requiring engagement in hourly rounding, basic nursing tasks, and patient safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Education Level: Eligible to work in the US.
• CNA training certificate preferred.
• Completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical/surgical nursing preferred.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider required.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and visitors; respond to call lights and phones.
• Assist in ambulation and safe patient handling.
• Provide basic nursing support (ADLs) and patient care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transfers, including room setup and orientation.
• Document patient care activities and notify nurses of patient needs.
• Restock equipment and supplies; support unit operations.
