Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Patient Care Technician for the General Medical Telemetry unit at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview. Night shift, 11p-7:30a or 7p-7:30a with rotating weekends, 32-36 hours per week. Under RN/LPN supervision, you’ll perform essential patient care tasks to ensure safety and comfort.

Responsibilities include hourly rounding, basic nursing care, EHR documentation, and safe patient handling. CNA training and BLS certification are preferred; upgrade within 90 days if needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patient needs.
• Basic computer skills for charting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care tasks under RN/LPN supervision.
• Perform hourly rounding and respond to patient call lights.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and safe patient handling.
• Provide ADLs support: bathing, grooming, feeding, hygiene.
• Record vitals, intake/output, and assist with procedures under supervision.
• Transport and escort patients and restock supplies as needed.
