Job summary

Advocate Health's Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, IL seeks a full-time Nursing Assistant to support RNs in daily patient care on CVICU. The role entails hands-on tasks, documentation in EMR, and active participation in rounds and discharge processes.

Requires a GED/HSE or high school diploma, and CNA in good standing. BLS must be obtained within 45 days. Includes rotating weekends/holidays, 36 hours weekly, with a day shift schedule.

Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing on the state registry.
• GED or HS diploma required.
• Completion of nursing assistant training as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care, including bathing, feeding, and ambulation.
• Record vital signs and input data into EMR accurately.
• Perform rounding and communicate observations to RN promptly.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge under RN supervision.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as directed.
