Job summary

Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, IL seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiac Unit. This part-time role spans 24 hours per week with day shifts, typically 7am to 7pm, in a 24-bed cardiac unit caring for cardiac, observation, and neuro patients.

Requires RN license and 1 year of nursing experience; BSN preferred. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, PTO, and tuition reimbursement from day one.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license in the state where providing care; BLS required.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Applies nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans with the team.
• Maintains a culture of safety and accurate documentation.
• May administer medications per clinical protocols; may float as needed.
