Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Research Associate or Senior Research Associate to support CAR T cell product development in the Cell Therapy Product Sciences division. The role focuses on executing in vitro studies to build understanding of CAR T cell products and manufacturing processes, leveraging human T cell biology knowledge.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in immunology, cell biology or related field.
• Experience with human T cell biology and analytical tools for interrogating T cell phenotype and function (e.g. cytotoxicity assays, proliferation, cytokine production assays, multi‑color conventional and spectral flow cytometry).
• Experience with in vitro cell culture systems (i.e. maintaining cell lines and/or primary cells in culture, sterile technique).
• Experience with multi‑parameter flow cytometry.
• Ability to work in a high‑paced team environment, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple projects.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and execute characterization of CAR T cells using flow cytometry and cell‑based functional immunoassays.
• Quantify secreted cytokines and perform molecular assays as part of product sciences studies.
• Perform statistical data analysis, where applicable.
• Present experimental findings after study completion.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and prioritize novel analytical approaches.
• Maintain laboratory space organization, orders, cell culture, and inventory; document work in electronic notebooks.
