Job summary

Calibr is seeking a Research Assistant or Associate in Cell Therapy to join a small team translating novel cellular therapies into human clinical trials. You will work on the universal, switchable CAR-T platform and support target discovery for solid tumors, collaborating with interdisciplinary scientists.

The role involves hands-on cell culture, immunology assays, and data analysis in a fast-paced, translational research environment at Calibr in La Jolla, California.

Qualifications

• Strong background in cell culture.
• Hands-on experience in cellular immunotherapies.
• Experience with multicolor flow cytometry and data analysis.
• Experience with transfection and transduction systems.
• Experience with molecular biology techniques.
• Proficiency with Prism, FlowJo, and Office software.

Responsibilities

• Culture primary human immune cells and tumor cell lines.
• Design and execute project plans involving immune cell profiling and flow cytometry.
• Generate reagents for projects including preparation of lentivirus for transduction.
• Perform molecular biology experiments (DNA/protein preparation, immunoprecipitation, Western blots).
• Prepare reports and present results at team meetings.
