Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Consulting Manager for its Construction and Real Estate Advisory practice in the United States. You will lead reviews of capital projects and real estate processes, delivering practical recommendations and client-ready reports.

You will develop industry knowledge, manage client relationships, and guide multidisciplinary teams ensuring alignment with client objectives across acquisition, development, operations and disposition.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of related experience in construction management, real estate advisory, capital projects consulting, or related fields.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management, Accounting, or related field; CPA, CIA, CCA, CFE, PMP, or PE preferred.
• Knowledge of construction phases including planning, pre-construction, procurement, scheduling, cost estimating, project reporting, closeout, and real estate portfolio management.
• Experience conducting contract compliance audits, CAM reconciliations, and performance monitoring for public/private sector clients preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to produce well-organized reports and client-facing documents.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to support client engagements

Responsibilities

• Review construction and real estate management processes, controls, and compliance frameworks to identify improvement opportunities.
• Assess contracts, lease agreements, and capital project performance for adherence to terms and best practices.
• Provide actionable recommendations to enhance transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency.
• Lead fieldwork activities: data collection, site visits, interviews, and documentation; prepare clear reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with project managers, asset managers, legal counsel, clients, contractors, and stakeholders to support oversight and risk mitigation.
• Support the real estate and capital project lifecycle from acquisition to disposition aligning with business objectives
