Job summary

Capital Projects Program Manager position in San Jose, CA to lead portfolios of facility, infrastructure, and manufacturing-equipment investments. You will connect company strategy to execution by setting priorities, coordinating cross-functional teams, and managing scope, budget, schedule, dependencies, and risk.

This hands-on role requires building structured processes in a fast-moving, startup-like environment, with on-site work and occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years managing complex technical programs or industrial capital projects.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects with shared resources and dependencies.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, risk management, and executive reporting.
• Experience supporting early stage projects through design, procurement, installation or construction, commissioning, and startup.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage an integrated roadmap for the company’s capital projects.
• Align investments with technical milestones, operating plans, funding constraints, and commercialization goals.
• Coordinate engineering, operations, R&D, EHS, quality, finance, supply chain, and external partners.
• Establish practical program governance, reporting, stage gates, and change-control processes.
• Manage program budgets, forecasts, schedules, dependencies, resource conflicts, and risks.
• Develop business cases and decision materials for major investments.
• Support projects from feasibility and design through procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational handover.
• Provide leadership with clear, timely visibility into progress, tradeoffs, risks, and required decisions.
• Build repeatable capital-program tools and processes that support future growth.
