Job summary

Peak Energy is seeking a Facilities Engineering Lead to own all building operations at our battery energy storage system manufacturing facility. This leadership role is hands-on, overseeing mechanical, electrical, life-safety, and process-support systems to ensure reliable production lines.

You will lead a small technician team, manage outside contractors, and oversee facility capital projects, with relocation to Sacramento by 2027 and after-hours coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in industrial facilities maintenance or engineering within manufacturing.
• Equivalent experience counts for formal degree.
• Experience leading and mentoring maintenance technicians.
• Knowledge of 480V distribution, HVAC, compressed air, and plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Own daily facility operations, PMs, and repairs across systems.
• Maintain building envelope, docks, cranes, and material-handling infrastructure.
• Lead technician team and manage external contractors.
• Plan capital projects with manufacturing/process engineering and external partners.
• Own facilities operating and capital budgets; track spend.
• Identify and implement energy-efficiency and sustainability improvements.
