Job summary

GAF is seeking a Project Engineer to lead capital projects and optimize plant performance. You will apply engineering principles to analyze new facilities and enhancements, balancing cost, maintainability, and safety while guiding multiple assignments to successful completion.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Engineering and 5+ years in manufacturing or roofing/building products, with strong design, installation, and project-management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or roofing/building products.
• Ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects within budget, scope, and downtime constraints.
• Proficiency with standard software, including G Suite, and engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute capital projects across the lifecycle, meeting scope, schedule, and budget.
• Define, design, and manage project installations with detailed scopes and cost estimates.
• Provide technical analysis and recommend process/equipment modifications for improvements.
• Serve as primary technical resource for design, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Coordinate internal maintenance and external contractors during project execution.
• Support production and maintenance with troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards for project execution, safety, and cost control.
• Promote and enforce safety initiatives and best practices in equipment operation.
