Job summary

The Mosaic Company is seeking a Project Cost Analyst to provide financial analytics and project controls support for North American capital projects. In-office roles in Tampa, FL, with collaboration across site capital teams and project managers to ensure accurate budgeting, accruals, and reporting.

You will partner with engineering and procurement, manage project intake and forecasts in SAP/Project Online, and contribute to monthly close and variance analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred) with 2+ years in a business-related analyst role or an Associate’s degree with 5+ years in capital project roles.
• Solid understanding of general accounting and finance principles and internal controls.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP, Fieldglass and Project Online experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing analytical/finance support to engineering project managers and Capital leaders.
• Ensure compliance with Capital Allocation Policy and SOX controls.
• Assist with Rack & Stack capital budgeting planning.
• Prepare Project Intake requests and document submission in Workflow/SharePoint.
• Facilitate accruals, forecasting, and monthly variance analysis with project engineers.
• Prepare monthly accrual journal entries and update forecasts in SAP/Noveco.
• Review vendor payments for contract adherence and accuracy.
• Maintain cost workbooks and project schedules in POL; ensure timely status updates.
• Collaborate with procurement to close POs and assist with CIP closeouts.
