Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Capital Planning Manager to own the capital maintenance plan for facilities' mechanical, electrical, plumbing and life/safety systems. You will coordinate with building management, engineers, analytics, and space/project teams to drive reliable, cost‑effective operations.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree required; degree in Business or Facilities Management preferred.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in account management, facilities operations, analytics and planning.
• Strong familiarity with critical equipment and knowledge in electrical, HVAC, IT, codes and safety.
• Excellent communication skills enabling clear complex-technical information

Responsibilities

• Ensure facilities are operated and maintained cost effectively, safely, efficiently and in first class condition.
• Provide technical oversight for the design and implementation of the preventative maintenance program per guidelines.
• Ensure all work complies with code, building standards and client requirements.
• Manage and the VFA system and introduce/modify equipment in the system.
• Review operations, maintenance and capital improvements for Life Safety, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC and Elevators.
• Provide leadership to facility management and technicians for day-to-day operations and maintenance.
• Report abnormal or critical conditions to the General Manager and Facility Management.
• Review plans for adding/upgrading equipment; interface with building staff.
• Develop and deliver training methods/materials relative to VFA and related technologies.
