Job summary

Morris Midwest is seeking a Capital Sales Engineer to join our team in Appleton, WI. This role focuses on representing premium CNC equipment and delivering value-driven solutions to manufacturers, while developing new business and maintaining relationships with existing customers.

The ideal candidate will possess engineering acumen, 1–2 years in related sales, and a proactive, collaborative approach with our Applications Engineering team to support time studies, turnkey projects, and machine

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field (preferred, not required)
• 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing, machining, or capital equipment sales.
• Strong technical aptitude for CNC machining processes (milling, turning, automation a plus)
• Proven ability to win new business and exceed sales targets
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Self-starter with a high level of accountability and urgency
• Must reside in DuPage County area.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop capital equipment opportunities within territory with guidance.
• Build relationships with customers while developing new business prospecting skills.
• Evaluate customer applications and recommend CNC solutions with technical input.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering on time studies, turnkey projects, validation & selection.
• Help manage sales cycle from prospecting to closing with senior team.
• Maintain pipeline and CRM with attention to detail.
• Stay current on machining trends and competitive offerings.
