Job summary

Morris Midwest, a division of Morris Group, Inc., is seeking a motivated Preventative Maintenance Technician with strong CNC machining experience to support customers and sales teams. You will leverage CAD/CAM tools and CNC programming expertise to demonstrate capabilities and drive success across our regional territory.

You will participate in pre-sale activities, write technical proposals, and train customers on CNC centers to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on machining background with at least 3 years of experience with CNC machines.
• Experience on Swiss and Okuma controls is a plus
• Proven solid understanding of CAD/CAM software is vital
• MasterCam, Esprit and Solidworks experience is a plus
• Excellent customer service and effective interpersonal skills required
• Frequent travel throughout our regional territory

Responsibilities

• Conducting pre-sale activities and reviews including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities, machine assessment and recommendations, part processing recommendations and development of turnkey proposals
• Making accurate cost estimates, writing engineering reports, and interpreting plans and specifications
• Programming and setting up CNC lathes, CNC vertical or horizontal mills, and Swiss style lathes
• Developing/ implementing custom demonstrations and training customers in the safe set up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss style lathes and/ or multi-tasking machines
• Maintaining an in-depth technical knowledge of product lines represented by the company
