Job summary

Verano in Aurora, IL seeks a Cannabis Advisor to deliver exceptional customer service, provide educational consulting, and assist with patient record management in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will greet customers, educate them on cannabis products, ensure compliance, support store operations, and help maintain a clean, accurate, and welcoming shop floor for guests and patients alike.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
• Must be 21+ and compliant with local regulations.
• Willing to undergo a criminal background check and state badging as directed.
• Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes and product usage methods.
• Ability to use office software (Word, Excel, email).

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a positive attitude while assisting them.
• Advocate cannabis customer care and educate on products.
• Help customers navigate cannabis products and their usage.
• Build rapport with regular customers to promote repeat business.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and store front.
• Process transactions at the POS and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Understand and apply local/state compliance regulations.
• Stock, merchandise, and replenish displays of inventory.
• Support managers and other Cannabis Advisors as needed.
