Verano is seeking a Cannabis Advisor for our Charleston, WV location. The role focuses on providing exceptional customer service, educational consulting, and careful handling of patient records where applicable.

You will greet customers, educate on cannabis products, and support store operations while complying with state regulations. A background in retail or hospitality and a willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
• Must be 21 years of age and comply with regulations.
• Criminal background check and state badging as required.
• Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes and product usage.
• Ability to use office software like Word, Excel, and email.
• Learn federal, state and local cannabis laws and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and patients with a positive attitude.
• Be an advocate of cannabis customer care.
• Educate customers on cannabis products and usage (not medical advice).
• Build rapport to promote repeat business.
• Operate in a fast-paced retail setting and maintain cleanliness.
• Manage online orders accuracy and assist with checkout.
• Adhere to compliance regulations and inventory controls.
• Support managers and other Cannabis Advisors as needed.
• Stock and replenish displays and ensure proper tagging.
