Job summary

Verano is seeking a Part-Time Cannabis Advisor in Charleston, WV to assist customers and patients with product selection, dosing guidance, and wellness-focused education. You will uphold compliance, manage storefront presentation, and support online order accuracy.

The role requires learning cannabis products, safety rules, and state regulations while collaborating with store teams to deliver a high-quality Verano experience in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
• 21 years of age and compliant with all local, state, and company regulations.
• Criminal background check and appropriate state badging as directed by state ordinances.
• Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes and product application/consumption methods.
• Ability to use office equipment and software (Word, Excel, email).
• Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and patients with a positive attitude.
• Advocate cannabis customer care and educate customers on product use as a wellness option.
• Build rapport with regular customers to promote repeat business.
• Provide information on product types, methods, and efficacy.
• Support managers and other Cannabis Advisors as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation and storefront.
• Ensure accuracy of online orders before pick-up.
• Understand and apply detailed compliance regulations per local and state laws.
• Stock, merchandise, and replenish displays of inventory.
• Process transactions at the POS and ensure METRC/BioTrack updates accurately.
