Job summary

Sunnyside is seeking a Dispensary Supervisor in Jacksonville to lead a team of hourly staff, manage onboarding and coaching, and drive sales while ensuring compliance with state and local laws. You will oversee opening/closing, inventory, and daily workflows in a fast-paced cannabis retail environment.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and product knowledge, with a focus on customer service and team development within a regulated industry.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years’ experience in customer service.
• 1+ year experience leading or mentoring a team; cannabis experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and product-related information in a professional consultative manner
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and persuasive skills

Responsibilities

• Regularly perform store opening and closing procedures (such as register prep, inventory, reporting) during non-peak periods.
• Facilitate training and onboarding of Lead Wellness Advisors and Wellness Advisors.
• Respond to employee questions or concerns; communicate resource needs to management.
• Provide real-time coaching and document employee relations issues with management.
• Direct the workflow by creating rosters and delegating daily responsibilities.
• Ensure team compliance with all policies, procedures and laws.
• Resolve escalated customer concerns and nonstandard product questions.
• Investigate cash, POS or product discrepancies and escalate as needed.
• Troubleshoot POS system issues and glitches.
• Verify inventory counts and cash deposits; reconcile discrepancies.
• Maintain inventory of marketing assets (flyers, merchandise, promos).
• Ensure a clean, safe environment; lift up to 50 lbs (100 lbs with assistance).
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods.
