Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Retail Supervisor to lead and train a fast-paced team in Thompson, CA. You will ensure exceptional customer experiences, maintain pristine merchandising, and drive store operations with strong problem-solving and people-skills.

Candidate must have 1–2 years of retail supervision, cannabis certification, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and multiple locations. The role emphasizes coaching, inventory oversight, and adherence to SLGA standards.

Qualifications

• Must already have, or be able to quickly obtain, Smart Choices Cannabis certification.
• Must provide a copy of clean Criminal Background Check prior to start date
• At least 1–2 years’ retail supervisory experience
• Valid First Aid certification considered an asset
• Experience working with similar brands/products not necessary, but an asset
• Ability to work nights, holidays, weekends and different locations
• Ability to develop and train staff through positive coaching and feedback
• Strong organization and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Flexible schedule covering weekdays, weekends and evenings
• Passion for customer service excellence
• MS Office suite
• POS expertise
• Post-secondary education in a related field
• Demonstrated abilities in visual planning and merchandising

Responsibilities

• Recruit, coach and train talent to ensure the team educates and informs customers
• Deliver a knowledgeable, genuine and exceptional customer experience
• Keep the store inviting, spotless and well merchandised
• Provide staff training and development as the resident product expert
• Create a welcoming environment and engage positively with local communities
• Use problem-solving and collaboration to achieve operational goals
• Develop and implement processes and procedures
• Oversee inventory
• Provide feedback on product trends and customer needs
• Maintain corporate visual merchandising standards
• Assist with audits and SLGA requirements
