Job summary

Verano in Illinois seeks an Agent in-Charge to deliver exceptional customer service and educational consulting for cannabis products. The role includes inventory oversight, daily cash handling, and supporting Cannabis Advisors in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will educate customers on product types and usage, maintain compliance with state regulations, and assist with online orders and POS operations. The position requires flexibility, strong communication, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail or hospitality experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes and product application/consumption methods.
• Flexibility to accommodate scheduling demands including some weekends and holidays.
• Ability to use office equipment and software (Word, Excel, email).
• Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and patients with a positive attitude.
• Assist in routine inventory cycle counts and report discrepancies.
• Handle product from vault and assist Cannabis Advisor for sale.
• Provide information on cannabis products and usage (no medical advice).
• Open/close store as directed by leadership and maintain a clean workspace.
• Ensure accurate online orders and support Cannabis Advisors with POS questions.
