Job summary

Vireo Health in Maryland is seeking a Dispensary Supervisor I to lead the frontline team, ensure customer service excellence, and oversee store operations in the absence of higher-level roles.

You will mentor new hires, open and close the store, supervise cash handling, authorise returns, and train staff on cannabis products. Flexibility to work 40 hours weekly including weekends, evenings, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 or older
• Minimum 1+ years of retail leadership or management experience
• Must be proactive with strong work ethic, attention to detail, communication, customer service and leadership skills
• Meet timeliness consistently in fast-paced environment and work under pressure
• Open to constructive feedback and able to stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Guide the crew through day-to-day operations and support Patient Care Coordinators and Customer Service reps
• Mentor new hires and support onboarding
• Step up as Manager on Duty when needed
• Deliver real-time coaching and course-correction to help the team grow
• Tackle escalated customer/patient concerns with empathy
• Open and close the store and manage cash flow with integrity
• Keep shelves stocked and assist with product delivery intake
• Educate staff and customers on cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods
• Drive sales through upselling and promotions
• Ensure compliance with Maryland state regulations and company standards
