Job summary

Verano Holdings Corp. is seeking a Cannabis Advisor in Lombard, IL to assist customers with cannabis products in a retail setting. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in retail, is 21+, and is willing to complete required background checks and state badges. A strong interest in cannabinoids and compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
• Must be 21 years of age and comply with all local, state, and company regulations.
• Criminal background check and appropriate state badging as directed by state ordinances.
• Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes and product application/consumption methods.
• Ability to use office equipment (computers and printers) and software (Word, Excel, email).
• Learn and understand Federal, State, and local cannabis laws and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and patients with a positive attitude.
• Educate customers on cannabis products and how to use them as wellness options.
• Build rapport with regular customers to encourage repeat visits.
• Assist customers in navigating product types, methods, and efficacy; provide information (not medical advice).
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and store front; stock and replenish displays.
• Process transactions at the POS and ensure accurate METRC/BioTrack updates.
• Adhere to detailed compliance regulations required by local/state laws.
