Job summary

Verano Holdings Corp. in Evanston, IL is seeking a Cannabis Advisor for in-store customer education and personalized service. You will help customers navigate cannabis products, explain usage and benefits, and support store operations in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, maintaining a clean workspace, processing transactions, and ensuring accurate inventory in METRC/BioTrack systems. Ongoing education and compliance are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
• Must be 21+ and comply with local/state regulations.
• Criminal background check and state badging required.
• Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes and product applications.
• Ability to use office software (Word, Excel, email).
• Understand cannabis laws and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and educational consulting.
• Greet customers with a positive attitude and build rapport.
• Educate on cannabis products, usage methods, and efficacy (no medical advice).
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and storefront.
• Process transactions and ensure inventory accuracy in METRC/BioTrack as required.
• Support store operations and other Cannabis Advisors as needed.
• Follow compliance regulations and participate in ongoing cannabis training.
