Job summary

Washington & Jefferson College’s Crabtree Center for Student Wellbeing provides free, confidential counseling and a suite of psychological and developmental programs to support every student’s growth. The role focuses on short-term counseling, crisis intervention, and wellness education within the Division of Student Life.

Reporting to the Director, the Wellbeing Counselor and Coordinator collaborates with campus partners to foster an inclusive, healthy campus culture and to empower students in

Qualifications

• Earned advanced degree in counseling or related mental health field.
• Licensed or license-eligible in Pennsylvania (LPC, LCSW, LMFT).
• Minimum of 2 years providing clinical counseling services.
• Experience with traditional-aged college students has value.

Responsibilities

• Provide confidential, culturally sensitive mental health counseling for students.
• Respond to mental health emergencies during office hours and coordinate crisis resources.
• Consult with faculty, staff, students, and families related to clinical care.
• Maintain confidential records in compliance with laws and ethics.
• Assess student needs and make referrals to campus or community partners.
• Participate in weekly supervision and consultation as required.
