South Carolina State University seeks an experienced mental health professional to serve as Director of the University Counseling Center. The role leads the Counseling and Self-Development Center and collaborates with the Office of Disability Services to support student wellbeing on campus.

The Director provides individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, outreach programming, and supervision, reporting to the Dean of Students.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a mental health discipline.
• Licensed to practice in the state of South Carolina.
• Experience in counseling center leadership preferred.

Responsabilités

• Oversee mental health and wellness services at the Counseling and Self-Development Center (CSDC) and Office of Disability Services (ODS).
• Provide individual therapy, group therapy, crisis intervention, walk-in services, and campus outreach.
• Supervise designated staff and coordinate services to promote student development and success, reporting to the Dean of Students.
