Job summary

WPI is seeking a Counselor to provide counseling, assessment, crisis intervention, and outreach for our student body. The role emphasizes collaboration, ethical practice, and understanding intersectional identities in a 10-month position.

Responsibilities include short-term counseling, assessments, on-call coverage, and coordination with campus offices. The role supports mental health initiatives and intern training within the SDCC.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling-related field required.
• License-eligible as Mental Health Counselor, Psychologist, or Social Worker in MA.
• 1 year of experience.
• Ability to work with a diverse student population.
• Experience in college counseling environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality counseling services: individual, group, couples; crisis intervention and referrals.
• Conduct alcohol and other drug assessments as mandated.
• Maintain clinical records in Titanium; HIPAA-compliant.
• Serve as after-hours on-call clinician in weekly rotation.
• Support campus partners with outreach programming on mental health topics.
• Assist in intern training and supervision.
