Job summary

DCC is seeking a dedicated counselor for the Student Affairs department to provide direct counseling services, crisis support, and case management for students. The role includes online counseling, collaboration with faculty, and maintenance of confidential records in line with FERPA.

Responsibilities encompass ADA/504 accommodations, Title IX coordination, and programmatic services to support students with disabilities and experiences of harassment or violence.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling or related field required.
• Licensed professional status and knowledge of FERPA preferred.
• Experience with student records, compliance, and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct counseling and case management for students.
• Support faculty with mental health questions and at-risk caseloads.
• Respond to crises with triage, referrals, and debriefings.
• Coordinate Title IX, ADA/504 compliance and supportive services.
• Maintain confidential records per FERPA and institutional policy.
