Job summary

Concordia University Texas is seeking a Transitions Coordinator to plan, implement, and evaluate programs that shape a student’s experience from orientation to first job. The role collaborates with the Success Center and Student Central to create a seamless journey for new and transfer students.

The coordinator will lead transition and career-readiness efforts, organize the annual career fair, and supervise student workers and graduate assistants while reporting outcomes to university leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum of three years in Higher Education or equivalent.
• Experience with first-year programs and/or orientation programming.
• Experience with career fair coordination and employer relations preferred.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and program development skills.
• Ability to engage with diverse groups and uphold the university's mission.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate first-year and transition programs.
• Plan and execute orientation for incoming students.
• Lead interdepartmental planning committees for a seamless orientation experience.
• Coordinate career readiness efforts and organize the annual career fair.
• Cultivate employer relationships to expand internships and jobs.
• Supervise student workers and graduate assistants.
• Assess program effectiveness and report outcomes to administration.
