Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin seeks a Senior Academic Program Coordinator in the College of Liberal Arts on the UT Austin campus. The role provides leadership for student transition initiatives and oversees FIG/TrIG and LA101 curriculum development.

You will supervise professional staff, collaborate across units, organize orientations, and manage data-driven program improvements to support first-year and transfer students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with required years of experience.
• Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating student development programs.
• Strong verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
• Demonstrated collaboration across multiple units.

Responsibilities

• Lead Liberal Arts Student Transition Initiatives, including FIG/TrIG and curriculum development.
• Oversee orientations (Spring, Summer, Fall, First-Year, Transfer) and related logistics.
• Supervise staff and mentor training for transition programs.
• Collaborate with OSE and CoLA partners on program improvement.
