Job summary

Follett LLC is hiring a Store Manager I in Florida to lead all facets of bookstore operations, including hiring, coaching, and developing managers and staff, executing operating plans, and strengthening campus relations. You will guide course materials activities, uphold customer service excellence, and drive general merchandise results.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strategic planning, and strong communication skills, with a focus on operational standards, sales growth, and campus

Qualifications

• Retail management or strong customer service experience.
• Academic retail experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills; strong customer service, communication, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence a team and customer outreach.
• Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting, training, coaching and talent development for full-time, part-time, and temporary team members; identify key talent to support the pipeline; ensure performance management and accountability.
• Develops operating plans for store departments for standard operations, rush periods, and events; plans for promotions and capacity/velocity requirements.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with campus administration, athletics, faculty and staff; pursue remote selling opportunities and campus partnerships.
• Oversees course materials management, inventory, adoptions, and buyback; coordinates access to adopted titles for upcoming semesters.
• Delivers customer-centric experience and high service standards; manages store visuals and shopping environment.
• Executes General Merchandise objectives and space allocation; adjusts plans as needed for store needs.
• Participates in store projects like renovations or openings; may serve as regional trainer.
• Oversees back-office tasks: invoices, chargebacks, stock shipments per policy; may supervise multiple locations.
