Job summary

Follett Corporation is seeking a Store Manager I for our Lakeland, FL campus bookstore operations. You will oversee hiring, training, supervision, and development of staff while delivering strong customer service and course materials management.

You’ll partner with campus leadership, drive operating plans, manage promotions, and ensure financial targets are met. A bachelor's degree and 0–3 years in retail or service are desired, with opportunities to grow within Follett’s education technology

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience in retail management or customer service.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and financial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle talent management for store staff including recruiting, training, coaching and development.
• Develop and execute detailed operating plans for store departments during normal and peak periods.
• Build positive campus relationships with administration, athletics, faculty and staff to support operations and partnerships.
• Oversee course materials management and inventory planning to maximize profitability.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain engaging visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Ensure adherence to policies, processes and budgets; support store openings or closings as needed.
• Act as a store-level leader, coordinating staff and driving sales and labor targets.
