Job summary

Barnes & Noble College's Delta State University Bookstore in Cleveland, MS seeks a Store Manager to lead daily operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and drive sales growth while managing expenses and team performance.

You will recruit and develop staff, maintain visual merchandising, and build strong partnerships with students, faculty, and campus partners to strengthen the store's role in the campus community.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive retail leadership experience and team development.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
• Experience with retail operations, merchandising, inventory management, and financial management.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily store operations with an on-floor presence and coach team members.
• Own store performance by driving sales, managing expenses, and forecasting trends.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop store team while maintaining accountability.
• Build campus relationships as the store's primary on-campus representative.
• Lead merchandising, inventory, and execution of company initiatives.
• Analyze sales and metrics to improve profitability and operations.
