Barnes & Noble College is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager in leading the campus store's daily operations, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and driving business results.

You will develop teams, manage merchandising and inventory, and support store operations across departments to ensure a customer-ready environment and campus partnerships.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of retail experience, including leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with retail operations, merchandising, inventory management, and customer service.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily sales floor operations and coach team to deliver exceptional service.
• Partner with the Store Manager to oversee operations and execute initiatives while maintaining standards.
• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop store team members.
• Drive sales and operational performance by analyzing trends and managing expenses.
• Build relationships with customers and campus partners and resolve issues professionally.
