Barnes & Noble College Assistant Store Manager helps lead the campus store by partnering with the Store Manager to deliver an exceptional retail experience. You will develop teams, oversee daily operations, coach staff, and drive sales while ensuring guest satisfaction across Course Materials, General Merchandise, Café, and Trade Books.

This role requires leadership, strong communication, and hands-on management in a fast-paced campus retail environment, with a focus on inventory accuracy,

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of retail experience with at least 1 year in leadership or supervision.
• Experience in merchandising, inventory management, customer service.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proficient with POS systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily store operations and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Coach and develop store team members; schedule and provide feedback.
• Drive sales, monitor trends, manage expenses, and optimize operations.
