Job summary

Penn State University seeks a Customer Service Representative to support internal and external university functions, events, and services. Qualifications

• GED or HS diploma required.
• No prior relevant work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Greet faculty, staff, students, and visitors; serve as first point of contact in person, electronically, by phone, or mail.
• Investigate and respond to issues of concern using university policies; provide guidance and timely solutions; escalate as required.
• Process orders and registrations; issue IDs and specialty badges; convey campus logistics information.
• Promote and market university products, projects, programs, and services; assess customer needs and preferences.
• Handle on-site and e-commerce ticketing and product sales; verify eligibility; process payments; issue receipts/refunds.
• Provide product and service improvement feedback to meet changing business needs.
• Operate POS and other systems to expedite purchases, research information, and record data.
• Maintain manuals, documents, knowledge base articles, and records.
• May process various financial transactions and assist with inventories.
• May supervise staff, including hiring and performance management.
