Sodexo at University of Illinois Chicago Campus is seeking a Utility Worker to support kitchen and facilities operations by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization across food service areas. This role involves cleaning equipment, surfaces, and storage spaces, and assisting with basic set-up and break-down tasks throughout shifts.

The position offers full- or part-time hours with open shifts, a pay rate of $19 per hour, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, to include basic concepts of food safety.
• No related work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or uses dishwashing machine.
• Cleans and sanitizes worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors.
• Removes trash to designated areas and replenishes supplies.
• Assists with set-up and break-down tasks as directed.
