Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Utility Worker on site at the University of Southern Indiana. You will support kitchen and facility operations by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout food production and service areas.

Duties include dishwashing, surface sanitizing, and assisting with setup and breakdown as needed. Requirements include a High School diploma or GED and willingness to work varying shifts.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, including basic food safety.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Cleans and sanitizes worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors.
• Removes trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Cleans equipment using chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.
• Restocks supplies like soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials.
• Walks and stands for extended periods; able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
