Job summary

Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA is seeking a Dispatcher, Campus Safety. This full-time, in-person role handles emergency and business lines, coordinates with police, fire, and medical responders, and supports campus operations.

The position requires a high school diploma and dispatch experience, with strong communication and confidentiality skills. Shifts are Sun/Mon 3pm-11pm and Thu/Fri/Sat 7am-3pm; starting pay is $24.05 per hour, with benefits included.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Related experience in law enforcement, security, or dispatching.
• Strong problem-solving, time-management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasked environment.
• Sensitivity to confidentiality.
• Commitment to, experience with, and/or ability to work effectively with a broad spectrum of individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Promptly answers emergency lines and college operator lines.
• Collects information from callers and walk-ins and disseminates to appropriate entities.
• Uses NCIC and CJIS to respond to officer information requests.
• Monitors campus fire, intrusion, alarms, and cameras.
• Activates emergency mass notification as directed.
• Dispatches emergency and non-emergency incidents per priority.
