Job summary

Rakuten Group, Inc. in San Mateo, CA, is seeking a motivated University Recruiting Intern to join our team beginning January 2027.

This part-time role (min 25 hours/week) offers hands-on campus recruiting experience, TA operations, and program management for a scalable summer internship. You will help run information sessions and career fairs, communicate with candidates, manage merchandise for events, and support onboarding and intern events.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and pursuing related field(s).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is preferred.
• Previous experience in Human Resources or recruiting operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support campus recruiting season, including virtual and in-person campus events (information sessions, career fairs, etc.), engaging with students and promoting our brand and opportunities.
• Manage communication to potential candidates via recruiting listserv, intern alumni newsletter, and university recruiting email address.
• Manage university recruiting brand merch and ensure all event supplies are organized, inventoried, and ready for use.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving of event supplies to campus locations.
• Assist with posting job roles on the Handshake platform and other relevant job boards.
• Help prepare for the summer internship program, including onboarding materials, candidate communications, and intern event coordination.
• Support TA Ops projects, including process improvements, data tracking, reporting, and documentation.
