Job summary

Alpha School in Santa Monica, CA is hiring an Operations Coordinator to run the campus non-academic heartbeat. This hands-on, on-site role ensures safe, well-managed operations and responsive service to families, staff, and students.

You will own communications, safety drills, facilities, attendance, transportation, onboarding, and on-site tech liaison duties, including Google Admin. Ideal candidates bring Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year in operations, plus basic IT troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in any field.
• At least 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or a similar operational role.
• At least 6 months of hands-on basic IT troubleshooting, device management, and account administration in a work, school, or volunteer setting.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage parents, students, and vendors professionally.
• Demonstrated comfort building warm, trusted relationships with children and families in an on-campus role.
• Ability to independently own campus operations and make sound decisions across safety, facilities, logistics, communication, and basic technology in a lean environment.
• Strong service orientation, emotional intelligence, and calm judgment under pressure.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Available to work in-person on one of our campuses: Greenwich, CT; Boston, MA; Boca Raton, FL; South Bay, CA; Orange County, CA, or willing to relocate.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Acting as the go-to contact for parents, students, and staff, keeping communication clear, timely, and professional.
• Managing campus safety operations, including access control, health incidents, drills, documentation, and parent communication.
• Overseeing daily campus operations such as attendance processes, facilities coordination, transportation, and office logistics.
• Supporting onboarding and training for new staff to ensure smooth integration into campus operations.
• Managing student devices and campus technology, acting as the primary on-site tech liaison and Google Administrator
