Merrimack College is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee a busy campus office serving students, families and staff. You will coordinate 9 administrators and 70+ student workers to ensure smooth operations and high-level service.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, strong communication skills, and the ability to balance multiple tasks. Duties include budgeting, contracts, staff supervision, and collaboration with campus partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience with Google Sheets and Google Docs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to juggle competing demands calmly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily operation of the office; schedule meetings and oversee guest registration.
• Triage phone calls and visitor inquiries; route to appropriate staff.
• Oversee payroll processes for student staff; manage receipts and vouchers.
• Manage contracts for departments and vendors (furniture, movers, services).
• Support Residence Life systems and campus portals (My Mack).
• Hire, train, and supervise student workers to ensure strong customer service.
• Collaborate with campus partners on major department projects and events.
• Participate in weekly staff meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
