Job summary

Roxbury Community College is seeking a Student Onboarding Ambassador to assist fellow students with onboarding steps, campus wayfinding, and navigation of enrollment and student-service systems. This on-campus, part-time role supports check-in, queue management, forms, and orientation materials in the Solution Center and Student Commons.

Eligibility requires enrollment for 2026-2027, active Federal Work-Study award, and maintaining SAP.

Qualifications

Must be a currently enrolled RCC student for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Must have an active Federal Work-Study award and sufficient remaining eligibility.
Maintain SAP in accordance with institutional and financial-aid requirements.
Complete all required student-employment and payroll documentation before starting.
Work only the approved FWS schedule and duties assigned by RCC supervisor.
Strong communication, customer-service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Welcome students and provide approved information about onboarding steps and campus locations.
Assist students with basic navigation of enrollment and student-service systems.
Support check-in, queue management, forms, orientations, and on-campus onboarding events.
Perform routine data entry, filing, scanning, copying, and organization of materials.
Provide reminders about deadlines and next steps using staff-approved information.
Refer financial aid, residency, admissions decisions, academic advising, and other staff.
