Job summary

NC State University is seeking a Temporary Market Supervisor for NC State Dining to lead daily market operations, coach student and temporary staff, and uphold high service standards on campus. You will manage POS transactions, ensure accurate paperwork, and maintain inventory while delivering exceptional hospitality.

The role offers a flexible schedule (Mon–Fri 12 pm–8:30 pm with rotating weekends) and opportunities for growth within a premier campus dining program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead & Train: Supervise daily store operations, coach student and temporary staff, and foster a welcoming, high-energy environment.
• Deliver Hospitality: Serve as a champion for outstanding customer service, ensuring every guest leaves satisfied.
• Manage Operations & Inventory: Oversee point-of-sale (Micros POS) transactions, maintain accurate financial paperwork, track inventory, and ensure smooth purchasing/selling workflows.
• Craft Quality Products: Safely prepare drinks and food to recipe standards—from pulling espresso shots and scooping ice cream to baking fresh cookies and making waffle cones.
• Maintain High Standards: Execute daily cleaning protocols to uphold Grade “A” Sanitation rating.
• Adapt & Support: Pitch in across other dining locations as needed to keep campus running seamlessly.
